Gateway Games started life as The Gateway Cyber Connection by Greg & Sandra in June 2000, the store was located in the Goddard's Centre at the bottom of Devonport Road, CBD, in Tauranga City and had 8 Computers.

Early 2004 Neil & Allisa brought into the Company and it was renamed "The Gateway Cyber Cafe' Ltd", We relocated across the road to 26 Devonport Road and 10 more computers we added. Late 2006 Greg, Sandra, Neil & Allisa purchased a local Gaming Store "HEC" bringing a Retail aspect to the Business, and a new staff member Brent.

In April 2010 we once again relocated the Business to larger premises at 50 Devonport road. We increased the number off Computer adding 13 brand new computers and upgrading the OS an all to Windows 7, later to Window 10.

At the end of March 2013 Neil & Allisa left the Company. Greg along with his Wife Sandra took back full control of the Company.

After 10 year of loyal service Brent decided he needed a change and left on 20th August 2017.

In the middle of March 2018 and after 8 years at 50 Devonport road we moved the Business lock stock & barrel to Shop G9, Bethlehem Town Centre, 19 Bethlehem road, Bethlehem, Tauranga, we also changed the Company name to Gateway Games to better portray more of what the Business has now become, We have reduced the number of computers to concentrate on our retail operation.
